Breedband Consortium Rijnmond
Begin 2007 is het Breedband Consortium Rijnmond gevormd met als
doelstelling het aansluiten van (semi-)publieke organisaties op
glasvezel netwerken. Het netwerk is eind 2008 opgeleverd en zijn 400
van de 1.000 mogelijke vestigingen aangesloten.

Leerlingen/studenten van ROC's Zadkine en Albeda, LMC, CVO en het
Wartburg College hoeven dankzij Breedband Rijnmond bijvoorbeeld niet
langer te wachten op een internetaansluiting: ze kunnen nu zo
inloggen en gebruikmaken van het almaar groeiende aanbod van
multimediale leermiddelen en - momenten.
